To achieve the deep learning and motivated self-development that results from our programs, our programs are layered, multi-modal, and self-reinforcing.
  • Layered and circular – We visit the core topics multiple times during the course of the learning event (as opposed to a single time-bound module): first, conceptually (cognition), then personal insight (assessment and affect) and finally, with (behavioral) skills application.
  • Multi-modal – Multi-modal deep learning results as all three modes of learning are employed facilitating depth of learning while accommodating the different ways that people learn.
  • Self-reinforcing – Through peer networks of support, norms of self disclosing, asking for help, and structured follow-up process, our programs are self-reinforcing.

This design philosophy, coupled with unmatched facilitation and delivery, results in life-changing learning which then continues for years to come as a result of the on-going coaching and support relationships that develop between our clients and FLA staff.

Integrated Development 

We seek to blur the artificial lines between working and learning by incorporating learning content and experiential exercises into our consulting engagements, as well as sharing our consulting experiences as real-life case studies at our learning events.

At the same time, our work in business strategy, change management, and leadership and team development allows us to craft custom, integrated, real-time solutions to our client’s multi-faceted challenges and opportunities by bringing all of our knowledge into all of our engagements.

Hence, our real-world consulting informs and enhances our learning designs as well as brings practical application/working knowledge to our training. As we uncover overlaps and interdependencies in our solution set, we are able to bring our broad and deep expertise to bear on the problems.

Finally, when it comes to building common vision and critical mass for our client's change efforts and initiatives, our one-on-one coaching skills support individual learning and adaptation, our team training skills facilitate building change skills and new behavioral norms, and our large meeting facilitation skills support in-company communication and collaboration.

FLA Follow-Up Process with the FLA Accelerators

Whether it is individual learning, team development, or organization development, nothing facilitates change, improvement, and sustainability as well as follow-up processes with progress feedback. Included in and following each of our programs are what we call FLA Accelerators. These on-site implementation-coaching and consulting sessions are designed to accelerate you, your team, and your business to the next level of success.

One-shot events and seminars, however masterful, rarely bring about sustainable change and improvement. Real sustainable change requires reinforcement, critical mass, measurement and appropriate incentives, motivation, and rewards. This is the intent of our Accelerators.

FLA Accelerators

  • All our learning and consulting engagements begin with assessments and discovery, and have built-in success measurement and implementation coaching along the way.
  • In our leadership development programs, we provide follow-up 360 post-assessments to measure progress eight to ten months after the learning event.
  • In our team and organization development engagements, we measure progress through our "Post Management Team Effectiveness" and "Follow-Up Organization Alignment Assessments."
  • And in our business planning engagements, we build in monitoring and fine tuning of the plan throughout the year as circumstances are bound to change and assumptions tested.
